    Sure-Grip® Quick Detachable bushings are easy to install and remove. Split-through flange and taper provide a true clamp on the shaft that is equivalent to a shrink fit. All sizes except JA and QT have a set screw over the key to help maintain the bushing’s position on the shaft until the cap screws are securely tightened. Versatile Sure-Grip® bushings permit the mounting of the same mating part on shafts of different diameters, and the mounting of different sheaves on the same shaft using the same bushing.

Industrial Couplings

This TB Woods Type SH Sure-Grip quick disconnect bushing with a torque capacity of 3,500 in-lbs is made of cast iron and is used for mounting a quick disconnect pulley, sheave, or sprocket on a drive shaft. It is split through the flange and taper to provide strong clamping on the shaft.

The bushing is made of cast iron for resistance to wear, galling, and corrosion. It is keyed to the shaft to prevent the shaft from rotating in the bushing, and it has a set screw over the keyway to help keep the key in place on vertical shafts and with vibrating loads. This quick disconnect bushing is used in automobiles, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, and home appliances, among others.

Bushings are cylindrical parts used to mount pulleys, sheaves, sprockets, or other components to drive shafts for the transmission of mechanical power. Most bushings are split and have a tapered outside surface so they will clamp to the shaft when tightened against the tapered bore of the driven component. They are made of durable metals such as cast iron and steel.

Bushings are used in automobiles, construction equipment, and machine tools, among others.
