Flexible Spring Type Coupling with Exclusive Triple Wound Spring Design The Uniflex Coupling is an all steel, single piece coupling that solves a variety of application concerns including: high misalignment, space limitations, high temperature, and exceptionally low backlash/windup. The unique flexing center of the Uniflex consists of three opposingly wound square wire springs for forward or reverse operation. Two steel hubs are then brazed to the steel spring pack to create a durable one-piece flexible coupling.

This Lovejoy RRU steel coupling hub can be fastened with cap screws to both ends of a Uniflex double flange coupling for connecting rotating shafts and providing low backlash/windup.

The hub has a quick disconnect design to meet drop out requirements. This hub is made of steel for strength and durability, has a finished bore that fits onto shaft without the need for machining, and requires no lubrication.

It is resistant to oil, grease, dirt, and most industrial chemicals. This hub can be used with couplings suitable for applications such as printing and binding registration, robotics/positioning, conveyors, machine tools, centrifugal pumps, agricultural machinery, blowers, winding machines, and steering mechanisms.

Flexible couplings are used to link two rotating shafts that are not aligned in order to transmit the rotational power, known as torque, from one shaft to the other.

Most flexible couplings consist of two hubs and a middle assembly; each hub attaches to a shaft while the middle assembly flexes between the hubs to accommodate the misalignment of the two shafts.
