Lovejoy 00026 Sier-Bath Nyflex Nylon Sleeve Gear Coupling Sleeve
Lovejoy/Sier-Bath 00026 Nyflex nylon sleeve for gear-type couplings — 1.625″ max bore, sintered iron hubs, lubrication-free nylon sleeve. Direct replacement sleeve for Nyflex-series flexible couplings on generators, pumps, compressors, and stepper drives.
If a Nyflex-series gear coupling on your generator, pump, or compressor is starting to show backlash or wear at the sleeve, you don’t need to replace the whole coupling — just the sleeve. This nylon sleeve is molded to mesh directly with the crowned-tooth hubs, restoring smooth torque transfer without needing grease or seals.

This Lovejoy/Sier-Bath sleeve is for use on Lovejoy/Sier-Bath Nyflex series flexible coupling assemblies and is made of an abrasion resistant nylon for lightweight functionality and corrosion resistance.
It generates a low level of friction for lubrication-free operation and its teeth help to distribute torsional load across it and the hubs to reduce wear and extend service life. Lovejoy/Sier-Bath Nyflex series flexible couplings are suitable for use in various light to medium duty industrial coupling applications such generators, pumps, compressors, stepper drives, and power drives, among others.
Flexible couplings are used to link two rotating shafts that are not aligned in order to transmit the rotational power, known as torque, from one shaft to the other. Most flexible couplings consist of two hubs and a middle assembly; each hub attaches to a shaft while the middle assembly flexes between the hubs to accommodate the misalignment of the two shafts.
Shaft misalignments are generally either parallel or angular and cause complications to transmitting rotational power from one shaft to another in the form of stresses, loads, vibrations, and other forces, which vary from one type of misalignment to another.
Flexible couplings are used in a broad range of applications, such as in motor vehicles, conveyors, escalators, agricultural, forestry and mining equipment, aeronautics, robotics and space exploration, among others.
Lovejoy manufactures flexible couplings, universal joints, variable speed drives and various other transmission and mechanical power products.
Their products meet the standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) for quality assurance.
The company, founded in 1900, is based in Downers Grove, IL.

Who This Fits
This sleeve is the wear component in Lovejoy/Sier-Bath Nyflex gear couplings — it’s the part that actually takes the wear so the metal hubs don’t have to. Common on industrial generators, pumps, compressors, and stepper/power drives running light to medium duty. If your current sleeve shows cracking, chunking, or excess backlash but the hubs still look clean, this is a straightforward sleeve-only swap.
What to Check Before Buying
Confirm your hub bore matches 1.625″ max and that you’re running the Nyflex-type (not a different Lovejoy gear series) — sleeves are not interchangeable across gear coupling families even when the outside dimensions look close. Check the center groove orientation if your application is vertical or uses blind assembly.
