Couplings in the mining industry have a number of issues to contend with, annual maintenance, fundamental design flaws coming from a century old technology, the automobile has evolved but the technology that makes up the universal joint has not. Twin Spring Coupling offers something different.

Designed with no internal components like bearings, means our coupling is truly maintenance free, making it impervious to water, mud, dust, dirt and other contaminants. This saves time and on annual maintenance bills. Time means money and downtime especially unscheduled downtime can be very costly, do we have the people and parts to fix the problem? If not how long will it take, and in some instances losing $1,000 to $10,000’s per hour makes cheap couplings not that cheap.
Add to that the annual maintenance bill for greasing and replacing worn universal joints to keep them from breaking down is another cost both in component costs but again lost productivity.
Worn bearings are the main factor in universal joint replacement either the pre lubricated or the greased version. The cheap cost of the bearing cross for most people think its a worthwhile coupling but the amount of labor involved in regards to monthly maintenance, greasing and eventual replacement means it makes it not as cheap as initially thought.
The other aspect of the bearing cross is the availability of them as well, if they arent in the farm supply store etc then the machinery cannot be used until they are replaced.
By being a one piece design also means Twin Spring Coupling wont break like the yokes do in traditional uni joints.
