Couplings in the industrial sector traditionally are broken into two sectors, jaw couplings that can only run at angles of 1° or less, as they cannot physically flex beyond that. The jaw coupling with Hytrel and Bronze inserts can only run to 1/2°.

Lovejoy Jaw couplings are a 3 piece elastomeric coupling, an input and output hub and a spider insert, the insert can be made up of 3 different materials SOX – (NBR),Urethane, Hytrel and Bronze.
Each insert gets progressively stiffer and less able to absorb vibration so the angular misalignment becomes smaller with each insert.
